Easy Shrimp Recipes with Huge Flavors

Margarita Shrimp Cocktail

Shrimp is a very versatile seafood. Serve with cocktail sauce and they are an easy appetizer. Cook in a pan and serve with a salad; healthy lunch idea. Saute in garlic and butter, pour over pasta, and you have an insanely delicious dinner. I'm a huge fan of cooking with shrimp. Here are a few shrimp recipes I think you'll love too.

"My husband and I had this Margarita Shrimp Cocktail in a restaurant a few years back and we loved it so much we began experimenting with a recipe of our own," shares Helene Mulvihill (Magnolia, TX). "You really can't go wrong with shrimp so experimenting was wonderfully fun!"

Wow... this is amazing! It's a cross between a shrimp cocktail and Mexican salsa. I was a little unsure of the mango and avocado pairing but it was fabulous. The shrimp soak up the flavors from the horseradish, onions, and jalapeno. This will be great to bring to a party or to have for a snack on a relaxing evening home.

Deviled eggs are a popular appetizer and Tony G. (Cumming, GA) puts his spin on the Southern staple with his Shrimp Deviled Eggs recipe. "Made these last weekend, they really turned out well," says Tony.

These little babies are wonderful! Serve them at your next party and watch 'em disappear. The shrimp cooks down into the butter. The touch of Old Bay seasoning is what makes these really good. If you're not familiar with Old Bay it's used in crab cakes and other seafood recipes. It's a blend of celery salt, red pepper, black pepper, paprika, and other spices. It's delicious on steamed veggies and chicken too.

I have had a lot of crab cakes and tuna croquettes in my life, but had never thought about chopping up shrimp and using that in a shrimp cake like Melissa Williamson (Macon, GA) does for her Shrimp Cakes. She says they're "so delicious and tasty" and I couldn't agree more.

I love the crunchiness that the Panko gives to this dish. If you want to kick the heat up a notch, add cayenne pepper or even chopped jalapenos. This is a super easy and delicious dish to try at your next dinner.

"At one time shrimp and grits were just a 'make do' dish when food was scarce and left-overs were turned into meals," explains Paula S. (Justin, TX). "However, this delicious dish is now served at some of the finest restaurants in the south."

Paula's Shrimp and Grits are easy to make and big on flavor. They're very smooth with a bit of sweet flavor (probably from the pepper). I liked frying the grits. Traditionally grits are not fried and, thanks to the butter, frying adds a bit of crunch plus a wonderful buttery flavor.

Sheri Williams' (Crestview, FL) Grilled Shrimp and Sweet Potatoes is a recipe you must make once grilling season arrives. "The grill is not just for hamburgers, hotdogs, ribs, and chicken," jokes Sherri. "Try out my newest grilled creation - South meets Jamaica." I really loved this dish.

The sweet potatoes were terrific straight off the grill... even before being topped off with the yummy maple syrup, nuts, and cheese. And the shrimp marinade is to-die-for. Next time, I plan to double the marinade so there's even more flavor to go around!

"Our family has enjoyed this light yummy dish for a long time," reveals Connie Ottman (Orlando, FL). "We live in Florida where shrimp is readily available and this Shrimp and Pasta recipe is easy to prepare."

This shrimp recipe is not only easy and quick but delicious. The delicate angel hair pasta and the buttery shrimp are the stars of this dish. The whole family is going to love this. A great dinner option if you're having company too. When served, it looks very impressive.
