My husband and I love our slow cooker and I am always lookin for recipes, I thought it would be nice to have a group just for that so we can find them in one place. I know how busy life can be and coming home to a house filled with savory smells and having done is a blessing so...... Let's get slow cookin!

Proud to Be in This Fine Crock o' Cooks!

Hi! I'm Auntie R and I am a crockpotaholic. Yep. Can't seem to get enough of them. Large, small, in between sizes, all colors and designs. Thought I was hallucinating when I saw an ad for an 8 quart last week! Hubby says, "What do we need that size for? We already have two 7's, a 6, three 4's, two 3's, that red one for chili, the green
one for soup, two small ones that you say are for gravy and chocolate sauce, and those two old stand up ones you don't even use any more. So why do we need an 8?" I said, "Thanksgiving".

I am a stay at home mom of 5 kids and I could not survive with out my crockpot. I found that the 5 qt was not big enough as my family grew so i bought another one and had 2. A few months ago my hubby and I were out shopping and i found an 8qt crock pot. Gotta love a hubby who just says get it. I did i bought 2. They are wonderful. For thanksgiving my hubby smoked out turkey on the grill. It was done before everything else. He pulled out one of the big crockpots and put it in to keep warm. It was wonderful and did not dry out. I look forward to sharing recipes with all of you.

Another crockpot group! It seems I cannot get enough.

I have two crockpots, 4 and 7 quarts and I use them constantly. I love the aroma of food cooking all day long and at the end of the day, it's almost like having someone cook for you! There is nothing easier than just tossing ingredients into the crock in the morning (that's when I actually have a little energy, given a cup of coffee!) and later on when I am completely inundated, it's ready to go.

I have many crockpot recipes so I'll share them.

Thanks for starting this group!

Love slow cookers/crockpots

Great group idea!
We (when I say we I mean me!!) have 1 huge roaster, 1 large crockpot and smaller ones.
There is nights when I do a main dish in 1, side dish in 1 and desert in 1 LOL
Their life savers alot of the time and boy there's nothing like coming home to a house full of that wonderful smell they put out when cookin!!

Easy Pot Roast

Hi, Melissa, I'm Jan! This group is a great idea. I've been using slow-cookers since the first one came on the market back in the '70s. So now you know how old I am! lol! When we cooked holiday meals for 25 or 30 people, we often used four or five of them at once--one to keep the gravy hot, one for the stuffing, one for the veggies--you get the picture. I LOVE them! This is one of our favorite recipes to do in the Crock-Pot.
