Are you searching high and low for a particular recipe? Maybe it was a terrific casserole that you once cut out of a magazine in the 70's, but have lost track of, or a special cake your grandma used to make with particular ingredients, or perhaps a luscious appetizer that you had at a certain restaurant while on vacation. How about a great recipe for Amaretto Cheesecake or 7-up Biscuits, or perhaps you'd just like a suggestion for a terrific fruitcake to make for the Holidays that no one will crack jokes about?
Here is a place to post your requests for those long lost or hard-to-find recipes and to see who is out there that just might have the very answer amongst their own collection.
I went to elementary school in southern Illinois. I remember a dessert that was so yummy. I was very young maybe 9 or 10. This was like a small cookie but tasted like pie crust and it was covered with a warm raisin sauce. Does anyone have a recipe similar to this? I would really love to make this for my grandkids. Thanks a bunch!!!
Hello! I guess I'll get this started! As mentioned in the group description, "perhaps you'd just like a suggestion for a terrific fruitcake to make for the Holidays that no one will crack jokes about?" Well, I once had a yummy fruitcake that was a little different from the usual. The cake part was chocolate and boozy and the fruits were not the usual icky candied stuff that I think a lot of people just don't like. I think there were cherries in it, but they tasted like they had been sitting in booze for a few days before being incorporated into the batter. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?
