I grew up with my mother taking care of both sets of Grandparents and it was my Papa, Mothers Dad that started me cooking at the age of 6. The stories I can tell you will bring joy, laughter and a new meaning in every meal you prepair. These memories are priceless and what better way to share them with generations handed down through our family and friends too that might enjoy a copy?
If it is possible, This is going to be my first very own Cook~Book!
Eddie, maybe you can share your personal opinion on this? Please~
I joined JAP in April 2012 and am a member of Bea's Chatter Box. I have enjoyed this group of folks, but am ready to venture out and join this group, too.
I collect recipes and have for all the 39 yrs, I have been married. I have often thought about trying to publish my own cookbook, but honestly do not know how to go about it!
It is surprising, as many times as I have flipped through recipes this is the first time to see this goup! I am glad to find it and hopefully you will accept me as a new member in your group, to?
Happy Thanksgiving to all and God's Blessings to you and your families~ Smiles, Kay~

Share Our Strength is a Non Profit organization that is dedicated to feeding hungry children all over the world. They work with many big name chefs to provide food for underprivileged children and It is endorsed by FoodNetwork who also sponsors Community Bakesales all over the country as fundraisers. (Sandra Lee from (Semi- Homemade) is one of their National spokespersons)
I Thought perhaps if we could generate enough interest, People might like to contribute some of their favorite rice dishes to make a cookbook and 100% of any sales would be donated to Share Our Strength. The recipe's can be anything at all... dessert, breakfast, soups, main dishes, side dishes, risottos, cassaroles, drinks.... vegan, vegetarian, ethnic, with or without any kind of protein.... They can use Rice noodles, Rice flour, Rice wines and vinegars, As long as it's Tried and True, the submission is welcome and you will get credit for any an all recipes you may submit. ( you can even include a little blurb about your recipe if you like )
I Really hope you will join in with me to help get this project off the ground. It means a lot to me. Thankyou
