I have just started I've lost weight on my own but I need a push. I saw a pic of myself & was horrified. All I saw was stomach. I have to stay away from salt because I retain water. Any Ideas good frozen meals that stay in my points but have better flavor?
Hi everyone. Quick overview; 4 years ago, put on a couple of unnecessary drugs (don't want to discuss it, it only gets me riled up again) which in turn pack on 100 lbs. in 8 months, yea! In you 60's, fat and your body become good friends very easily, it seems. Fast forward to now; I am now pre-diabetic and have stage 3 kidney disease, fun, fun! I've cut out most of my sweets (yogurt is good but it just isn't ice cream, sigh), limited my starches and increased my veggies, and increased chicken/fish and limit beef/pork. Lost 8 lbs. the first week and that's it. 5 weeks later, not and ounce less. I'm beginning to grow a bushy tail and cluck. Anyhow, looking for some tasty ways to fix low-cal meals. Any suggestions?
I know that being on Weight Watchers can be an off again, on again thing. I no longer belong to Weight Watchers, but still try to follow the food suggestions and portion control etc. I had to add taking a product to get over my plateau, and to get back to losing.
If any of you are still interested, I've added some recipes the last couple of days that are some of my favorites.
Hope everyone is well, and would like to see this group get involved again.
Hello everyone. My wife and I started on a different eating program about a month ago and we have each lost about 15 pounds but more importantly we are losing inches and finding our bodies again. I'm not selling anything but we bought a copy of Dr. Joel Fuhrman's "Eat to Live" book and found that (like most people) we have been eating wrong our whole lives. We are in our mid 60's and not terribly overweight but a little larger than we cared to be. We now eat vegetables as our main meals and try to eat as much fruit as we can. We can't say enough about how we feel today and look forward to continuing on our quest. We still look forward to a "treat" occasionally but want one that will not sabotage our efforts. We will look at Weight Watchers for recipes to supplement our salads and fruits. Well I won't bore you any more. But if you are serious about losing weight and don't want to spend an arm and a leg of "purchased meals" then give this a try as there is no food to buy other than grocery store items that are readily available.
Hello Everyone. I had lost 100lbs. But I have put 20lbs back on sense I have moved to OK.I know It's the way they cook and eat out here. But I'm going back to work starting tomorrow. I will be working in a hot factory I'm hoping that will help me get back down. I have never joined WW. I'm thinking about it. Does it really work. I love to cook and eat. That's the problem.
I've been a member of Weight Watchers for a couple years. I've lost over 100 pounds. Been stuck at my current weight since Christmas though. I am losing and gaining the same 3 pounds; but the last couple of weeks have been losses. Hopefully, I'm back on track.
I am a lifetime member of WW but gained all my weight back and then some so I don't want to officially join WW but am very interested in this group in helping with ideas, recipes, etc. I am Diabetic and have a liver problem so I have really been eating much healthier and exercising.
