This year is flying!

Well it's already February and I'm still trying to figure out where January went! How has everyone been since New Years? Behaving with exercie regimens and food choices? I know I haven't... but I guess having a child growing inside me gives me an excuse :)

It's Friday!!!

I dunno about you but this has been the LONGEST week ever. Battling morning sickness/traffic and straight up exhaustion definitely is making this girl want to leave work early!

I'll only be doing a few mile run/walk today with my pups to get out of the house but then... nap time! YES!

What are you plans?

Hi there.

I'm pretty knew to JAP & just discovered there are "groups". I'm not sure how it works but I thought I'd join one. You guys were the lucky ones :)
So, tomorrow I'm running in a 5k race & am preparing for a half on 12/1. I've been fighting a sinus infection for a couple of weeks so my mileage has been way down.
In addition to running I like weight lifting type stuff. I started with Chalean Extreme but got tired of watching the videos over and over so know I just do my own stuff.

Ashley, sounds like you are an evening exerciser. I've got to do it as soon as I wake up in the mornings or it will never happen.

Back from texas, back on the wagon.

Well I made it back in almost 1 piece from texas, they definitely gave my heart a workout with all the anxiety from flying!

I'm back and today I have a "long" run to make up, so a 4 miler tonight. Wish me luck!

What are you doing tonight? Any exercise? Any cooking?

Going to Austin, TX!

All the work I've been doing to get back in shape is definitely going out the window this weekend... I'm vsiting my best best friend in Texas and we're going to a music festival all weekend. That means fried food, beer, and more fried food. God help me.

Going on a 3 mile run tonight

It should be a beautiful 75 degrees out when I go so hopefully I'll enjoy it! The run will be followed by 2 sets(each) of 15 push ups, 20 lunges, 25 leg lefts down the center and 25 to each side.

Welcome to the group!

Since I created it I guess I should be the first to post something too!

I want to welcome and invite anyone who is a runner, jogger, walker, or anyone who forces themselves to do any of those things so they can eat the scrumptious food on this site! I'd also like to welcome anyone who is trying to cahnge their lifestyle and incorporate an exercise regimen. Also, I'm here to help with that as well!

A little info about me... I am dating a marathon man and he somehow turned me into an avid runner myself. No, there aren't any marathons in my future, but there are plenty of 10k's and 5k's that I plan on racing. I have lots of recipes that are perfect for runners(usually men who want to keep weight on)with lots of protein and carbs. For those of you who like to eat like me, I also have the lower carb recipes that give just the right amount of nutrients for the energy you need to burn all those calories.
