Does anyone have a mincemeat recipe that can be canned that does NOT have real meat or suet in it? Thanks for the help :)

Thank You, Karla. I found it! I found one in a cookbook I just got, but it had meat and suet in it. My fiance' made funny faces at that! LOL He loves mincemeat, so I want to make something he will eat. Thanks again. :)

The reason it is called mincemeat is because that is exactly just what it is.
I have a recipe and my dad said it tastes just like his moms, and I'll bet your fiance didn't know the mincemeat that he loves has just that in it, meat or suet.

Darla, I know I am late in answering, but was just looking through my Ball Canning Book and found a recipe for brandied mincemeat without meat or suet in it. Specifically a canning recipe. If you would like it, let me know and I will post it or email it to you. :)
