On October 24, 2025, the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced<\/a> LSI, Inc., an Alpena, SD establishment, had recalled over 2.2 million pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky because the product may include pieces of metal. Recalled product was sold under the name Golden Island Fire-Grilled Pork Jerky Korean Barbecue Recipe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Multiple consumers complained they found pieces of metal in the pork jerky product. LSI, Inc. determined that the metal originated from the conveyor belt used in production. There have been no confirmed reports of injury due to consuming the product.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Identify the Recalled Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky<\/h2>\n

14.5-oz and 16-oz plastic pouches containing \u201cGolden Island Fire-Grilled Pork Jerky Korean Barbecue Recipe\u201d are affected. This product has a one-year shelf life with the \u201cbest by\u201d dates ranging from October 23, 2025, through September 23, 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The product recall bears establishment number \u201cM279A\u201d inside the USDA mark of inspection and was shipped to Costco and Sam\u2019s Club retail locations nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n
