Like everything these days, the price of turkey has gone up. In trying to be as economical as possible, I’m going to make sure to save my extra turkey. Wondering what to do with leftover turkey? Turn it into another completely different meal.<\/p>\n

“This Turkey Rice Roasted Garlic Soup<\/a> was something I put together with what I had in the kitchen,” shares Kathryn Martin<\/a> (Rosscommon, MI<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Kathryn roasts garlic which makes the soup super delicious. Made with pantry staples, you probably have the ingredients handy. The quantity of garlic may sound like a lot, but when you roast it the flavor mellows. <\/p>\n

Lisa G. Sweet Pantry Gal<\/a> (Buffalo, NY<\/a>) also tries not to waste anything, so she came up with her Cran-Apple Bbq Pulled Turkey Sandwiches<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Even leftover dinner rolls can be used to make sliders,” says Lisa. Thanksgiving leftovers won’t go to waste with these sandwiches.<\/p>\n

A delicious way to enjoy your turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce leftovers. The shredded turkey absorbs the smoky and sweet sauce. You will love them so much, you’ll make the sandwiches year-round.<\/p>\n

“We were a bit tired of turkey on the 3rd day, so I came up with a way to change up the flavor,” reveals Lyn Starr<\/a> (Bakersfield, CA<\/a>). What did Lyn come up with? A wonderful Leftover Turkey Broccoli Bake<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s savory, creamy, cheesy, and really easy to make. The Swiss cheese and butter cracker crumbs on top are a nice finish to the dish. A very filling casserole.<\/p>\n

I challenge anyone that says they don’t like turkey leftovers to try Shari Wood’s<\/a> (Oklahoma City, OK<\/a>) wonderful Leftover Turkey Shepherd’s Pie<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The filling reminds me of a rich pot pie with all the yummy flavors of a holiday turkey. Using a soup base gives the filling a savory, rich flavor. Mashed potatoes and cheese are the crowning glory of this shepherd’s pie. Bonus… it’s a one-pot meal.<\/p>\n

If you don’t like sandwiches, make Tamara Minck’s<\/a> (Vancouver, WA<\/a>) Turkey Tetrazzini<\/a> with your extra turkey.<\/p>\n

“We always have it the weekend following turkey day,” explains Tamara. “It is a great change of flavor.”<\/p>\n

This casserole is extremely creamy and super easy. I love the addition of Parmesan and Asiago cheeses … it adds flavor to the roux and creates an amazing cheesy crust on top. Your family is going to request this often.<\/p>\n
