We all have our favorite Thanksgiving recipes we make every holiday. Sometimes, though, it’s fun to switch things up. If you’re looking to put together a menu with traditional recipes that your family hasn’t tried before, these recipe ideas for Thanksgiving dinner are for you.<\/p>\n

“I was very skeptical that one could actually cook an entire turkey (regardless of size) in about 2 hours and have it be edible,” reveals Torrey Moseley<\/a> (Dallas, TX<\/a>). “Well, not only does this actually work, it produces the best roasted turkey I’ve had to date.”<\/p>\n

Torrey’s 2-Hour Turkey, Really<\/a> has the flavor you would expect from a well-cooked Thanksgiving turkey, but the technique is so wonderfully different.<\/p>\n

The trick is roasting it on high heat and having the turkey wide open. A great time-saver on a holiday when the stove gets a workout.<\/p>\n

On the side, serve Veronica Taylor’s<\/a> (Dayton, TX<\/a>) Oma’s Giblet Gravy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is nothing better than a good giblet gravy to pull your holiday meal together. This is a simple gravy that a beginner cook can make. It’s a little different than other gravy because it has hard-boiled eggs.<\/p>\n

Paula Mullins’<\/a> (Bealeton, VA<\/a>) Sausage And Mushroom Stuffing<\/a> is a quick and easy recipe to prepare when in a pinch.<\/p>\n

“If you are strapped for time like I usually am, I like quick but tasty recipes,” says Paula. “This is both and is always praised at Thanksgiving.”<\/p>\n

Much of the seasoning comes from the herb stuffing mix, but the sage sausage and fresh veggies amp up the flavor. Butter helps with moisture and adds its wonderful flavor. Slightly different than cornbread stuffing\/dressing and just as delicious.<\/p>\n

Oh so yummy, Nancy Clemens’<\/a> (Carpentersville, IL<\/a>) Sweet Potato Casserole<\/a> is more like a dessert than a side dish. <\/p>\n

“I make this for Thanksgiving dinner but you can make it anytime,” shares Nancy. “I justify this as a side dish since it has sweet potatoes in it.”<\/p>\n

The sweet potatoes are moist, soft, and just melt in your mouth. On top is a crumble made of coconut, chopped pecans, and brown sugar. I like the addition of coconut. It adds a bit of a wow factor to this easy dish.<\/p>\n

“Holidays just aren’t the same without green bean casserole,” thinks Jennifer DeShazo<\/a> (Rossville, TN<\/a>), and I couldn’t agree more.<\/p>\n

When I saw Jennifer’s Cheesy Green Bean Casserole<\/a> I knew I had to try it. Much to my delight, the cheese takes a traditional green bean casserole up a notch. This will be a stellar addition to any holiday table.<\/p>\n
