Like everything else these days, Super Bowl Sunday is going to be different at my house. Typically, I have a group of family and friends over to watch the big game. This year, it will be just my immediate family. Even though the attendees will look different, we’re still going to eat like champs.<\/p>\n

“I make this every year for the Super Bowl in this shape of a football,” says Sheri Zarnick<\/a> of her Crabby Football Cheese Spread<\/a>. “And for other occasions, I make it just because… it tastes so very good.”<\/p>\n

You’ll score extra points when you serve this to your family. The addition of crab and horseradish really enhances the flavor of the spread. I love the combination of cheese – cream cheese, cheddar, provolone, Parmesan, and ricotta. Combined they create a tasty cheese ball. And, serving it in the shape of a football is just adorable.<\/p>\n

Christine Cuneo’s<\/a> (Tonawanda, NY<\/a>) Pepperoni Rolls<\/a> are great for game day or if you have a hungry teenager.<\/p>\n

“These are a wonderful alternative to processed Hot Pockets crunchy crust filled with gooey cheese and pepperoni,” explains Christine. “I made them last night and they were gone in like 60 seconds.”<\/p>\n

The homemade dough is crunchy on the outside and light and airy inside. Filled with mozzarella, they have optimal cheese pull when ripped in half. Christine used pepperoni inside which is classic. But, she also suggests filling them with broccoli or ham and cheese. I can’t wait to try those variations.<\/p>\n

One thing I love while watching football is a sub (or some may call it a hero or slider). I often get them from my local pizza place, but it’s something I can make at home.<\/p>\n

Tiphane Fleming<\/a> (Spanaway, WA)<\/a> shared her recipe for Italian Meatball Subs or Sliders<\/a> that my family likes.<\/p>\n

“These meatballs require no bread crumbs, yet they are still firm and full of meaty flavor,” thinks Tiphane. “Cut the subs into three sections and you’ve got sliders.”<\/p>\n

If sliced into three pieces these are a tasty snack. Serve whole and you have a hearty dinner. Thanks to sausage and ground beef, the meatballs are super flavorful. Tiphane suggests topping with provolone, muenster, or Swiss cheese. I opted for provolone because of how gooey it is when melted. Mozzarella or even cheddar could also be used.<\/p>\n

Statistics say that Super Bowl Sunday is one of the busiest days for pizza delivery. This year, skip delivery and try Elizabeth Lancaster’s<\/a> (Naples, TX<\/a>) Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I fell in love with the chicken bacon ranch pizza at Papa Johns, but it was too expensive,” reveals Elizabeth. “So I put my own twist on it, and I like mine better. Taste and cost-wise!” Not only is Elizabeth’s recipe yummy, but it also makes two hearty pizzas.<\/p>\n

The chicken really has a punch of flavor from the ranch seasoning, onions, and sun-dried tomatoes. Adding bacon is sort of equivalent to a cherry on top. So many layers of yummy goodness in this pizza!<\/p>\n

Sweets are always on my menu and I love to make brownies because they’re easy. Miranda Roderick’s<\/a> (Washougal, WA<\/a>) Super Quick and Easy Rocky Road Brownies<\/a> start with a boxed mix which is a timesaver.<\/p>\n

“Your kids will love making these with you because they can do about 80% of it on their own,” shares Miranda. Even if you don’t have kids, they’re so easy your spouse can make them.<\/p>\n

If you love the flavor of rocky road, these rich and fudgy brownies will not disappoint. Chocolate frosting and chocolate chips bring your taste buds to chocolate heaven. Toffee bits add a great caramel taste. Crunchy walnuts and gooey marshmallow cream complete this amazing dessert.<\/p>\n
