Some nights I can’t figure out what to make for dinner. I love chicken, but that can get old. Another go-to protein of mine is pork. When I’m looking to get an easy and tasty meal on the table, pork can be very versatile. It has a more savory flavor than chicken, but still mild. The perfect vessel for an assortment of seasonings and ingredients.<\/p>\n

If you’re of a certain age, you know pork chops and applesauce are a match made in heaven. Norma DeRemer<\/a> (York, PA<\/a>) shared her recipe for Pork Chops With Apples<\/a> I adore.<\/p>\n

“My family and friends love this recipe,” shares Norma. “I played around with different ingredients and came up with this one that my son Aaron who is a chef in Alaska wanted to know what I put in it.”<\/p>\n

With the perfect balance of flavors, this recipe is a wonderful pick for pleasing the family. The apples are sauteed in butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar so they’re filled with fall flavors. Port wine is reduced to a syrup and drizzled over the fried pork chops. The combination of savory pork chops with sweet apples and syrup is divine.<\/p>\n

The seasonings in Diana Perry’s<\/a> Beer Onion Gravy Pork Roast<\/a> are unusual and remind me of fall and winter.<\/p>\n

“I found a recipe with the bare bones of something that would taste good and I reworked it for flavor – and so I could use my new immersion blender,” says Diana. “The flavor of the onion gravy is delicious with the roast and mashed potatoes.”<\/p>\n

I liked the slight hint of clove and allspice that permeates the meat. It pairs well with the tender and moist pork. Blending the cooked onions and carrots makes the gravy the consistency of a thick soup. Super tasty when drizzled over mashed potatoes. There are a few extra preparation steps for this roasted pork, but well worth making. It’s delicious comfort food.<\/p>\n

Casseroles are a weeknight meal I often make. Tonna Canfield’s<\/a> (Ashland, KY<\/a>) Pork Chop Potato Casserole<\/a> is always popular.<\/p>\n

“I have been making this recipe for more than 20 years,” reveals Tonna. “It is delicious, easy, and a great recipe to serve to company. Just add a vegetable and some bread and you have a wonderful meal.”<\/p>\n

Out of the oven, the pork chops and potatoes are very tender. Mushroom soup gives the dish a very rich flavor. With only six ingredients, this is an extremely easy meal to prepare. It’s not the prettiest when served, but it sure is tasty.<\/p>\n

Just the title of Robynne Glenn’s<\/a> (Henderson, NV<\/a>) Pulled Pork & Crispy Onion Ciabatta Sandwiches<\/a> recipe alone had my mouth watering, so imagine the state of affairs in the kitchen from the aroma of it cooking!<\/p>\n

“Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork on a lightly toasted ciabatta roll with crispy onions will be a hit at your family dinner table too,” thinks Robynne. I couldn’t agree more.<\/p>\n

This sandwich is all you imagine it to be… and then some. It’s sweet, salty, slightly spicy, and full of amazing flavor. The slow cooker does all the work so it’s a set it and forget it recipe. The hardest part is toasting the ciabatta rolls. It’s so good! Great for game day.<\/p>\n

“This is my cheater version I have put together since I can’t get good tomatillos here in Wisconsin during the winter,” explains Lisa Kudek<\/a> (San Diego, CA<\/a>) on how she came up with her Pork Chili Verde<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even though this is Lisa’s cheating version of a traditional Pork Chili Verde it still packs a punch of great flavor. The green enchilada sauce gives this dish a nice tanginess and the salsa verde adds a bit of spice. The flavors come together to give the pork a great taste while keeping it nice and moist.<\/p>\n
