While everyone is home, it seems baking has become a popular past time and that making banana bread is what’s baking in everyone’s oven. Rightfully so! It’s made with simple pantry ingredients and a great way to use overripe bananas. If you want to try a new recipe, take a look at these Blue Ribbon banana breads. They are all slightly different recipes and each one is super tasty.<\/p>\n

Lyn’s Gram’s Best Banana Bread<\/a> is sweet, moist, and filled with banana flavors. With simple ingredients and instructions, it’s an old-school recipe. This is a loaf of delicious banana bread with a sweet story.<\/p>\n

Caroline Mgawe<\/a> shared her Easy Healthy Banana Bread<\/a> recipe that’s so good you’d never guess it was made with healthier ingredients.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis easy recipe shows you how good healthy can taste,\u201d thinks Caroline. \u201cYou don’t need a mixer, I just use a fork to mix. It makes the house smell so nice, people always smile when they come in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bananas make the bread sweet so you don’t notice that there is only a little sugar added. I added macadamia nuts to the bread and liked the crunch and coconut flavor. Dense and filling, enjoy this for breakfast or as an afternoon snack.<\/p>\n

Caramelizing the bananas before baking Joan Penney’s<\/a> (Platte City, MO<\/a>) banana bread adds a richness that’s hard to describe.<\/p>\n

I love the addition of blueberries in this bread. They complement the banana flavor. The oat, butter, brown sugar, cinnamony streusel on top is what sets this apart and makes it amazing.<\/p>\n

The filling inside is a neat surprise when you first cut into this loaf. I did put some nuts, sugar, and cinnamon on the top of the loaf before baking and highly recommend not skipping that step. It adds a nice little crust to the bread. I tried it while still a little warm and then again when it was entirely cool. Both were tasty, but I must say I liked best a little warm.<\/p>\n
