Cookies are a favorite in my house. I typically bake a batch to have handy for when guests drop in or when I need to bring an easy dessert somewhere. What I love most about these cookie recipes is they’re packed with yummy fall flavor.<\/p>\n

Cinnamon chips are typically only available at certain times of the year. Thankfully they’re around now so I can make Dee Stillwell’s<\/a> (Citrus Heights, CA<\/a>) Oatmeal, Apple, Cinnamon Chip Cookies<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Dee picked up a bag at her local store and wanted to come up with a good recipe. “I had a lot of apples and thought an apple oatmeal cookie would be a good way to use them,” explains Dee. “They turned out awesome and everyone loved them.”<\/p>\n

The spices and the cinnamon chips give this cookie a burst of cinnamon flavor. Walnuts add crunch and you taste the apple bits. This recipe takes oatmeal cookies to a brand new level of deliciousness.<\/p>\n

“It feels like fall when I make these cookies,” says Teresa Jacobson<\/a> (Jacksonville, FL<\/a>). “Pumpkin is enhanced with cranberries and chocolate chips for a nice change from regular chocolate chip cookies.” <\/p>\n

Teresa’s Harvest Chip Cookie<\/a> is a wonderfully tasty soft cookie. I loved the sweet and tart combination of chocolate chips and cranberries. Teresa mentions that butternut squash or sweet potato puree can be substituted for the pumpkin. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m going to. It’ll adjust the taste, but still be packed with fall flavors.<\/p>\n

Debbie Decker<\/a> (Phoenix, AZ<\/a>) made Chelsea Mitcham’s<\/a> (Houston, TX<\/a>) Double Caramel Apple Cookies<\/a> and thought they were delicious. I thought so too. <\/p>\n

The combination of apple chunks, cinnamon, and caramel is divine. What makes the cookies special is the homemade caramel. You can substitute a store-bought caramel if you’d like, but there’s something special about making it from scratch. Hidden in the center, when you bite is the caramel’s burst of sweetness.<\/p>\n

“Who doesn’t love pumpkin,” asks Sheila Devor<\/a> (Towanda, KS<\/a>). “I use it all year long. It’s one of my favorite ingredients and this Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies<\/a> recipe is a keeper.” Even people that don’t care for pumpkin will like this one, I think. <\/p>\n

The cookie’s soft and delicate with a slight pumpkin flavor. It doesn’t have the typical pumpkin spices, just cinnamon. Oats add a little texture and chocolate chips are a great complement to the pumpkin flavor. This recipe makes a lot of cookies. They’ll freeze wonderfully or make these if you’re heading to a harvest party. <\/p>\n

If you’re looking for a healthier cookie, try Crystal Schlueter’s<\/a> (Northglenn, CO<\/a>) Healthier Than Candy Pumpkin Cookies<\/a>. “I made these cookies for a friend’s children, as they aren’t allowed to eat candy or anything too unhealthy,” explains Crystal. “The kids loved them and my friend approved!” <\/p>\n

These yummy treats are super moist and tasty. They’re so good, kiddos won’t miss the candy. And adults can sneak a few too. They’re great on their own, but if you have extra cream cheese frosting add a dab to the top. It’s the perfect topping.<\/p>\n
