It’s the most glorious time of the year… football season! Suddenly Sunday’s (and Saturday’s in some parts of the country) take on a whole new meaning. Days are scheduled by what time the game starts. While I wear my colors proudly on game day, it’s all about the munchies. <\/p>\n

You can’t go wrong serving Brenda Dixon’s<\/a> (Mt.Juliet, TN<\/a>) Southern staple Game Day Boiled Peanuts<\/a> at your tailgate. “These boiled peanuts are a great game day snack and can be cooked ahead of time and reheated in the microwave or the Crock Pot,” suggests Brenda.<\/p>\n

The nuts are cooked to perfection with a nice salty and spicy blend. Grab one handful and you won’t be able to stop snacking!<\/p>\n

Game day is not game day without some wings. And Michelle Wolf’s<\/a> (Berlin, NJ<\/a>) Our Favorite Garlic Parm Wings<\/a> need to be part of your menu. <\/p>\n

“Hot wings are so common, yet this recipe really stands out for our family,” reveals Michelle. “We love them and we put the sauce on every type of chicken, not just wings.”<\/p>\n

Michelle’s wing sauce is fabulous. It’s buttery and creamy with great Parmesan flavor. The garlic is not very strong. If you want a stronger garlic flavor, add a bit of garlic powder to pump up the flavor. A bit sweeter, add honey as Michelle suggests. <\/p>\n

There’s a bit of a kick to Garrison Wayne’s<\/a> (La Quinta, CA<\/a>) Crab and Roasted Pepper Spread<\/a> that I absolutely loved. If you don’t like things as spicy, cut back on the tabasco a bit. <\/p>\n

You taste the sweet roasted peppers in every bite. The flavor combination of crab meat with the peppers is fantastic. Garrison “always gets asked for the recipe” and after your friends taste it, I think you will too.<\/p>\n

Love pickles? Then you’ll want to make Diane Schmidt’s<\/a> (Comstock Park, MI<\/a>) Dill Pickle Dip<\/a>. It may sound strange, but it’s yummy.<\/p>\n

“This dip is delicious and a hit at parties or potlucks,” shares Diane. “I don’t even like pickles and I love the dip!” It is creamy, tangy and I love the added crunch from the diced pickles. If you’re serving sliders, a dollop on of this on top would be pretty tasty.<\/p>\n

If you have friends with a gluten intolerance, try Suzanne Banfield’s<\/a> (Basking Ridge, NJ<\/a>) Gluten-Free Cheesy Corn Pups<\/a>. “These corn pups are much easier to make than corn dogs so I always make a batch or two for any game day get-together,” says Suzanne.<\/p>\n

The cheesy cornbread is really good. The spicy honey mustard tops these corn dogs perfectly. It’s an easy appetizer everyone will love. <\/p>\n

Looking for something sweet and fun? Serve Michelle Kusma’s<\/a> (Columbus, OH<\/a>) Chocolate Fluffernutter Football Dip<\/a>. “This recipe was inspired by the fluffernutter sandwich,” explains Michelle. “Peanut butter and marshmallow creme are a delicious combination. Adding chocolate created a decadent dessert dip.” <\/p>\n

If you’re not familiar with a fluffernutter, you can read all about the history of it here<\/a>. It’s a sandwich made with white bread, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Adding chocolate makes everything better in my mind. I really enjoyed dipping different fruits, but I think graham crackers were my favorite.<\/p>\n
