Happy Halloween! At my house, we always have lots of trick or treaters. I love to see the kids in their costumes and so happy when I throw candy into their bags. <\/p>\n

But Halloween isn’t just for kiddos. I thought would be fun to recreate classic candy bars at home and give them to adults as a special treat. Halloween is a great excuse to enjoy a few extra pieces of candy. <\/p>\n

Is it possible Freda Gable’s<\/a><\/strong> Mound Bars & Almond Joy Candies<\/a><\/strong> are even creamier and more delicious than their namesakes? Yes!<\/p>\n

Sweet and creamy, the Mounds bars are packed with coconut. If you prefer an Almond Joy, simply add almonds to the top of the candy before dipping in chocolate. The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for the chocolate coating to chill.<\/p>\n

“Sometimes I am embarrassed to tell people how easy this delicious candy is to make,” jokes Kelli Stovall<\/a><\/strong> (Hot Springs, AR<\/a><\/strong>). “It tastes very much like a Butterfinger candy bar, and can be made in about 10 minutes (total time)!”<\/p>\n

Kelli’s Easy Butterfinger Candy<\/a><\/strong> really does taste just like the candy bar which is surprising since it uses melted candy corn as its base. As it gets closer to Halloween, candy corn will go on sale. Stock up like Kelli suggests so you can make this treat any time of year. There’re only four ingredients in this seriously easy recipe. <\/p>\n

Jess Weible’s<\/a><\/strong> (Virginia Beach, VA<\/a><\/strong>) Chocolate Caramel Turtles<\/a><\/strong> are as good, if not better, than anything you’d find at the store. <\/p>\n

Turtles are a favorite in my house. In fact, my mother-in-law always used to have a plateful of these sweet fellas to serve at the holidays. From the gooey caramel to the crunchy pecans and the chocolate on top, these turtles are a delightful treat. It will be hard to eat just one.<\/p>\n

If you’re a peanut butter chocolate lover, then you’re going to LOVE Mrs. D.’s<\/a><\/strong> Homemade Peanut Butter Cups<\/a><\/strong>. There’s peanut butter in each layer.<\/p>\n

Mrs. D. uses graham crackers, confectioners sugar and peanut butter as a base for her peanut butter cups. The graham crackers add a slight texture to the filling and taste great.<\/p>\n

These cups are pretty big and very satisfying. To make bite-sized treats, simply use a mini-muffin tin. So fun!<\/p>\n

Jill Hanses’<\/a><\/strong> (Pasco, WA<\/a><\/strong>) Twix Bars<\/a><\/strong> are a bit labor intensive, but they are so good. Rebecca Peterson<\/a><\/strong> (Houston, TX<\/a><\/strong>) agrees. “Holy cow, these were a hit and spot on taste wise,” shared Rebecca after she made the recipe. “My family and neighbors adore these.” <\/p>\n

The shortbread cookie alone is fabulous. But coated in caramels and then dipped in chocolate, oh my. It seriously tastes like a Twix bar. In my opinion, may be even better. <\/p>\n
