I’m gearing up for the big game and starting to plan what goodies we’ll be snacking on. In my house, chicken wings are a must when watching football. Here are a few of my favorite traditional – and a bit untraditional – chicken wing recipes<\/a><\/strong> guaranteed to spice up the game.<\/p>\n

Everyone I know who has tried Stephanie Rudy’s<\/a><\/strong> (Orlando, FL<\/a><\/strong>) Crispy Sticky Oven Hot Wings<\/a><\/strong> has loved them. In fact, I overheard my son saying these are so good that we won’t ever have to go to a restaurant to eat wings again!<\/p>\n

“My husband and kids love these wings,” says Stephanie. “I always double the recipe!” You can’t go wrong when the wings are coated in hot sauce, butter and vinegar. The flavors are just perfect.<\/p>\n

I like that Teresa Clayton’s<\/a><\/strong> (Byhalia, MS<\/a><\/strong>) Wings Worth the Wait!<\/a><\/strong> are fried and baked. It adds an extra level of crunch to the wings. “These wings are delicious,” shares Teresa. “My husband talks me into making them every Sunday for the football games.”<\/p>\n

These wings have some heat, but not too much thanks to the addition of honey and brown sugar to the sauce. According to Teresa, “leftovers are great too,” but I’m not sure you’ll have any once people dig in.<\/p>\n

“My family has eaten these right out of the pan right from the oven because they are so good,” jokes Mary Ann Hanson<\/a><\/strong> (Wakefield, NE<\/a><\/strong>) of her Slow Baked Chicken Wings<\/a><\/strong>. “You can bake these ahead of time and warm up later in the crock pot.”<\/p>\n

The sauce won me over on these wings. It’s packed with flavor – soy sauce, French dressing, garlic, ginger and more. It’s really good and different. The slow baking makes the meat just fall off the bone. The Kitchen Crew gobbled these up and I’m sure they’ll score points at your party too.<\/p>\n

“This is a great appetizer for any occasion and is super easy to make,” explains Angela Gray<\/a><\/strong> (Bristol, TN<\/a><\/strong>) about her Orange Glazed Chicken Wings<\/a><\/strong>. “The orange marmalade and lime juice is a tangy combo and the hot sauce is the surprise kick.”<\/p>\n

The orange marinade and sticky orange glaze is unusual and made these wings so tasty. Grilling always adds great flavor too. These are so good they’re worth putting on your heavy coat, going outside and firing up the grill for. In a pinch, you can always bake these and finish them under the broiler. They’re yummy!<\/p>\n

Cynthia Sigler<\/a><\/strong> (Concord, NC<\/a><\/strong>) also has a delicious wing recipe. “Everyone has loved these Korean Chicken Wings<\/a><\/strong> when I make them,” says Cynthia. “They are usually the first to go.”<\/p>\n

Again, the sauce is what makes these wings. With soy sauce, garlic, ginger and scallions it has wonderful Asian flavor. It’s scrumptious. So much so, in fact, when testing this recipe I decided to soak the second batch of wings directly in the sauce while they were still hot. It made them a lot messier, but oh-so-good!<\/p>\n

You’ll want to make sure you have a lot of napkins handy if you serve Tammy Stephens’s<\/a><\/strong> (North Dartmouth, MA<\/a><\/strong>) Finger Lickin Good Chicken Wings<\/a><\/strong>. I guarantee people will be asking for the recipe.<\/p>\n

“All I can say is I can’t make enough of these for everyone,” shares Tammy. “They’re always a big hit and are easy to make.” The meat is really tender on these wings – it just falls off the bone. Marinated in soy sauce, and other spices, these too have an Asian flare to them. I just loved them.<\/p>\n
