This year has gone quickly! Not sure about you, but Thanksgiving really crept up on me. With it being right around the corner, I need to get to planning my menu. Thankfully I’ve tested some great recipes, so it’ll come together in a snap.<\/p>\n

Carrots are a staple at my meal and I love Teresa Bailey’s<\/a><\/strong> (Pittsburgh, PA<\/a><\/strong>) Roasted Carrots — Thanksgiving Favorite<\/a><\/strong> recipe. Carrots are sweet and roasting makes them even sweeter. <\/p>\n

“I made these for Thanksgiving and the family said they were the best carrots they had ever had,” shares Teresa. Teresa adds shallots, fresh thyme and lemon juice which brightens the flavors of this simple side dish. <\/p>\n

Stuffing<\/a><\/strong> is another must-have Thanksgiving side. Robyn Bruce’s<\/a><\/strong> (Middletown, PA<\/a><\/strong>) My Mom’s Perfect Thanksgiving Stuffing<\/a><\/strong> is a wonderfully classic stuffing recipe. “Loaded with flavor and completely delicious,” is how Robyn describes her mom’s recipe. “When I got married and started my own family, I made sure I had this in my recipe box.”<\/p>\n

Robin uses classic flavors – like celery, green pepper, and onion – along with cooking the stuffing inside the bird which turns out one fabulous side dish. I couldn’t help but think about my own mom’s recipe as I was making this… which is just about my highest endorsement! <\/p>\n

I’ve been known to open a can of rolls and pop them in the oven for dinner. I love a shortcut, but during the holidays I try to cook from scratch. Beth Hart’s<\/a><\/strong> (Mt. Holly, VT<\/a><\/strong>) 60 Minute Rolls<\/a><\/strong> are so easy to make, you won’t be looking to make a shortcut.<\/p>\n

“It’s really only 60 minutes from the time you start mixing to the time they come out of the oven,” says Beth. “My husband’s family will not let me make anything but these for holiday get-togethers.” These taste so good, your company will never need to know how quick and easy they are to make!<\/p>\n

Teena Hval’s<\/a><\/strong> (Milwaukie, OR<\/a><\/strong>) The Best Ever Sweet Potato Pudding<\/a><\/strong> is destined to be on your Thanksgiving table. It’s creamy, but not too sweet. You’ll love the slight crunch from the crust. Best of all, it’s another easy recipe which is essential during the holidays.<\/p>\n

Y’all know my sweet tooth and no meal is complete without dessert. And it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving dinner without a nice slice of pumpkin pie. Gail Springsteen<\/a><\/strong> (Waupaca, WI<\/a><\/strong>) combined two recipes to make one superb treat.<\/p>\n

“My husband liked the idea of the cinnamon-pecan topping, and I, not being a great pumpkin pie lover, found a unique recipe for pumpkin pie,” explains Gail. “So I made that and topped it with the topping.”<\/p>\n

There are a few steps to Gail’s Pumpkin Pie with Cinnamon-Pecan Topping<\/a><\/strong>, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort. The filling is really rich and delicious. It’s the crumb topping, though, that sets it apart from an ordinary pumpkin pie. It’s delish!<\/p>\n

This creamy yummy goodness has more of a texture of a pie than a cheesecake. The combo of the butterscotch pudding and all the pumpkin and spices are very unique. This dessert will be a great addition to your holiday meal!<\/p>\n
