Eggs Benedict<\/a><\/strong>, bacon<\/a><\/strong>, sausage<\/a><\/strong>, omelets<\/a><\/strong>… y\u2019all know my fondness for brunch recipes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

My friend is having guests for brunch next weekend and has asked me to help her with the menu. I definitely have a few suggestions!<\/p>\n

\u201cYou just can not go wrong with a quiche, and this is one of my favorites,\u201d shares JM Avallone<\/a><\/strong>. Her Crab Quiche<\/a><\/strong> combines crab with asparagus, red pepper and caramelized onions to create a wonderfully sweet quiche. Quiche is the epitome of brunch to me, and this would be a great seafood addition.<\/p>\n

Tammy Wade\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Crabby Patty Brunch Bake<\/a><\/strong> is another lovely seafood option. \u201cIf you wake up crabby in the morning, you won\u2019t be for long,\u201d jokes Tammy. \u201cThis goodie will happy-fy you!\u201d<\/p>\n

This is a very different brunch casserole and it\u2019s delicious! The half and half along with the peppers really contribute to the awesome flavor of this recipe. If you like crab, you\u2019ll definitely want to add this to the menu.<\/p>\n

One glance at Kimberly Kolligs\u2019<\/a><\/strong> Puddin Place Eggs<\/a><\/strong> and guests will be \u201cegg-cited\u201d to dig in. \u201cThis is the easiest recipe, but everyone says wow when they see it,\u201d explains Kimberly. \u201cAnd they\u2019re even more impressed when they taste it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Bacon, cheese, heavy cream, and eggs make for one delicious treat. But really the best part is you can prepare this in advance. Then, just pop them in the oven just before guests arrive.<\/p>\n

French toast is always a favorite. I especially love Colleen Wehr\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Pecan Delight Baked French Toast<\/a><\/strong> because you start it the night before. Overnight, the cinnamon bread soaks up the flavors from coffee creamer, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to make one mmm mmm good recipe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very rich breakfast,\u201d says Colleen. \u201cYou really won\u2019t need syrup to enjoy.\u201d A small slice will do ya… and it\u2019s worth every bite!<\/p>\n

Scones are delightful to serve at brunch alongside some tea. A lovely recipe is Laura Spencer-Whitacre\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Cream Scones<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cThis scone recipe will melt in your mouth,\u201d exclaims Laura. Top these with marmalade or a bit of blackberry jam, sit back and enjoy. They are a wonderful way to treat yourself\u2014and your guests.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s nice to serve something lighter at brunch too. With berries being in season, I thought we could serve Cindi B.\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Fruity Tossed Salad<\/a><\/strong>. It\u2019s fresh, tasty and so pretty!<\/p>\n

Cindi suggests \u201cto go easy on the salad dressing though, as a little bit surely goes a long way.\u201d Cindi uses her favorite creamy poppy seed dressing, which I think a light dash complements the flavors perfectly. What I especially love about this recipe, is you can scale the ingredients based on the number of guests you have.<\/p>\n

Besides the food, I think I love brunch because it\u2019s a way to catch up with friends. With hectic lives, it\u2019s nice to take some time and share what\u2019s going on\u2014and maybe a recipe or two.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
