In the Test Kitchen, we love a salty and sweet treat, so these sounded yummy (and they were adorable). But would we be able to recreate Beth&#8217;s recipe? We gathered the supplies and began crafting.<\/p>\n<h3>Gather the Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2 oz orange candy melts, like Wilton<\/li>\n<li>1 bag dipping sticks pretzels<\/li>\n<li>16 oz vanilla candy coating<\/li>\n<li>8 oz chocolate candy coating<\/li>\n<li>24 snowflake sprinkles<\/li>\n<li>Baking sheet<\/li>\n<li>Parchment paper<\/li>\n<li>Piping bag and round tip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>To Make Chocolate Pretzel Snowmen<\/h3>\n<p>Melt orange candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals and stir until melted. Place candy melts in a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe the melted candy into a carrot shape on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place carrots in the freezer for about 2 minutes. Then, remove carrots from the parchment paper and set aside.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Melt white candy coating, 30 seconds at a time, in a microwave-safe dish until melted. Stir after every 30 seconds. Dip 3\/4 of the pretzel into the white chocolate. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place dipped pretzel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Dip four more pretzels in white chocolate, leaving the top of the pretzel uncovered. Place the pretzels next to the first pretzel (for a total of five pretzels). Follow this process to make additional pretzel brooms.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Once pretzels are dipped, place the baking sheet in the freezer for 3-5 minutes or until the chocolate sets.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Melt the chocolate candy coating in a microwave until melted. Take the uncoated side of the pretzels and dip into the chocolate candy.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place dipped pretzels on a baking sheet.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Take a whole pretzel and dip into the melted chocolate.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place the pretzel across the snowman to create the hat&#8217;s brim. Set in the freezer to harden.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Using a dab of melted orange candy melt, attach the carrot to the snowman&#8217;s face.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Using a dab of white melted chocolate candy, affix the white snowflake on the hat. Using the melted chocolate, create the mouth and eyes.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>The Results<\/h3>\n<p>These were definitely a Pinterest pass! They&#8217;d be cute on a Christmas candy tray or make an adorable holiday housewarming gift. The snowmen do take a little effort to make, but the sweet and salty combination is fantastic and worth the time. Kids and adults are going to have a hard time resisting these.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Test Kitchen Tips<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Beth used Snyder&#8217;s Dipping Pretzels. If you have a hard time finding them at your grocery store (like we did), look for a thicker stick pretzel.<\/li>\n<li>To speed up the dipping process when making the broom, try dipping two pretzels at one time.<\/li>\n<li>We found it easiest to have the pretzels we wanted to use ready to go.
