We came across Kelly from Justataste.com&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justataste.com\/halloween-frankenstein-marshmallow-pops-recipe\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frankenstein Marshmallow Pops<\/a> and knew we had to try them. They looked adorable and sounded tasty. But would they be a pass? <\/p>\n<h3>Gather the Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1 bag Wilton green candy melts<\/li>\n<li>1 bag marshmallows, regular size<\/li>\n<li>1 bag pretzel sticks<\/li>\n<li>1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips<\/li>\n<li>Candy eyeballs<\/li>\n<li>Edible markers (black and red)<\/li>\n<li>Toothpicks<\/li>\n<li>Lollipop sticks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>To Make the Marshmallow Pops<\/h3>\n<p>Place the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Melt for 1 minute at 50% power. Remove from microwave and stir. Place back into the microwave and melt at 30-second increments (stirring after each 30 seconds) until melted.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place a lollipop stick into the marshmallow. Make sure to push it in firmly, but not entirely through the marshmallow. Completely dip the marshmallows into the green candy melt. Fill a bowl with raw oatmeal and place the lollipop stick in the oatmeal. Let the candy-coated marshmallow cool for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Heat chocolate chips for 1 minute at 50% power. Stir. Place back in the microwave for 20-second increments until completely melted (stirring after every 20 seconds). Dip the tops of the marshmallow into the melted chocolate. Using a toothpick, pull some of the chocolate down to form hair. Place back into the bowl of oatmeal and chill in the fridge for 5 minutes (or until chocolate has hardened).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Using a sharp knife, cut the pretzel rods to about 1\/8&#8243;. This will form the &#8220;bolts&#8221; of Frankenstein&#8217;s neck. Push a pretzel into each side of the marshmallow. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>To make the eyes, place two dabs of melted chocolate onto the marshmallow and attach the candy eyeballs.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Use the edible markers to draw a mouth and cut onto the marshmallow.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>The Results<\/h3>\n<p>A Pinterest Pass!<br \/>These little guys are adorable and taste fabulous! They&#8217;re the perfect Halloween party favor or they&#8217;ll make an adorable centerpiece. They do take a little bit of time to make, but it&#8217;s well worth the effort. You don&#8217;t need tons of decorating experience and everyone will be complimenting you on how adorable they are.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Test Kitchen Tips<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The candy melts tend to be a tad thick. To thin them out a bit (like in the photos) add 1 Tbsp of oil or melted paraffin and mix. It will make coating the marshmallows a bit easier.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>To help prevent cracking of the chocolate on Frankenstein&#8217;s head, we used a toothpick to add the hole for the pretzel stick bolts. It made inserting the small pretzel easier and we didn&#8217;t have to push on the marshmallow.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>To turn these into a centerpiece (like we did), coat flower foam in tissue paper.
