Looking around Pinterest for a bit of holiday pin-spiration we came across adorable edible wreaths. We came across Leah Stacey’s<\/a><\/strong> version of Candy Christmas Wreaths<\/a><\/strong> and knew we had to try them in the Test Kitchen.<\/p>\n

What You’ll Need<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Wax paper<\/li>\n
  • Cooking spray<\/li>\n
  • Vanilla extract<\/li>\n
  • Butter<\/li>\n
  • Corn Flakes<\/li>\n
  • Mini marshmallows<\/li>\n
  • Green food coloring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    1.Gather the supplies.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    2. Melt 3\/4 cup butter in a large pot.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    3. Add 1 bag of mini marshmallows.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    4. Stir until mini marshmallows are melted; add 2 tsp vanilla.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    5. Add about 4 tsp of green food coloring until you get a vibrant green.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    6. Pour in 7 c of Corn Flakes and mix until well coated with marshmallow\/butter mix.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    7. Grease a spoon with butter (but you can also use your hands), grab a bit of the Corn Flake mixture, and drop onto waxed paper. Make one large wreath or smaller mini wreaths.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    8. Shape mounds into wreaths.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    9. Start decorating with red candies for berries.<\/h3>\n

    <\/p>\n

    10. The finished product!<\/h3>\n

    Test Kitchen Tips<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Spray your hands and wax paper with cooking spray; the mixture is pretty sticky.<\/li>\n
    • Use any small red candy you’d like. We used cinnamon candies, but mini M&M’s or red pearled candies would work too.<\/li>\n
    • Once you spoon the Corn Flake mixture out, work quickly. The mixture sets up quickly and you want it to be sticky when placing the red candies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These wreaths turned out adorable! They are super easy and inexpensive to make. The texture is similar to a Rice Krispy treat, just made with Corn Flakes. Wrap in a cellophane bag, you have a lovely (and tasty) holiday hostess gift.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
