1finely dice all the vegetables, garlic add to the crockpot and add the bag of split peas
2add the ham hock chicken stock and enough water to cover the peas
3salt and pepper to taste. Cover it and Let it simmer til all the vegetables are melted away.
4I put it all in the crockpot before I got to work and let it go on low all day. Man the house smells good when I get home.
