Got this recipe from my daughter and it's as good as or better than restaurant French Onion Soup.

Ingredients

3 large
sliced onion
1 tsp
sugar
1 Tbsp
flour
1/4-1/2 c
red wine
4 can(s)
beef broth (soup)
2-1/2 can(s)
water
3-4
beef bouillon, cubes
toasted french bread
mozarella cheese or your choice
parmesan cheese

Step-By-Step

1Slice onion and put in large pot.
2Spray with butter or add 2 tbsp butter. Saute until onions are soft
3Stir in sugar and flour and mix well.
4Add 4 cans beef soup, 2-1/2 cans of water and bouillon cubes.
5Simmer for 40 minutes.
6Put soup in oven safe bowls, top with toasted bread and cheeses. Broil until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
7Serve with a salad and more bread if desired.
