- fresh basil
- extra virgin olive oil
- ice cube trays
1Gather a huge bunch of fresh Basil.
Process in a blender, trickling in extra virgin olive oil while blending. Blend until you have a pourable consistency
2Pour into ice cube trays and freeze immediately.
Once the cubes are frozen remove them from the trays and store in the freezer in a bag. Pull them out one at a time whenever you need them.
3Pull these out during the winter to whip up pesto or just to add to soups
