Ingredients For ground turkey soup

    ground turkey
  • 1 c
    diced white onion
  • 2 can
    mixed vegetables
  • 64 oz
    beef stock
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 c
    pearled barley

    Stovetop directions: Brown turkey and onions in skillet. Meanwhile, in a stockpot, combine stock, vegetables, salt, pepper and bay leaves and bring to a boil; add turkey and onions mixture (once browned), bay leaves and barley. Simmer covered for 30-35 minutes on low-medium heat.

    Slow cooker directions: Brown turkey and onions in skillet. In a slow cooker, combine stock, vegetables, spices and turkey and onions mixture. Cook 7-8 hours on low. Add barley 30-45 minutes before serving.
