Cabbage Soup (Peel-A-Pound)

This recipe goes way back to when there was a cabbage soup diet. Even though I ate a ton of it in my early years, I still love it. It's simple to make, too.

Stove Top

Ingredients

1 small
head of cabbage
1 bunch
celery stalks
1 large
green pepper
6 medium
yellow onions
3 large
cans diced or stewed tomatoes
1/2 jar(s)
beef bouillon, granules

Directions Step-By-Step

Chop up all of the veggies. I like mine chopped very fine.

Put the chopped veggies into a large soup pot and cover with water (several inches over the veggie line).

Add the tomatoes and beef bouillon.

Simmer until the veggies are tender, about an hour should do it. If your veggies are chopped bigger, you and allow an hour and a half.
