Stove Top

Ingredients

3 Tbsp
butter
3 Tbsp
flour
3 c
chicken stock
2 c
milk
1/4 lb
bleu cheese - crumbled (gorgonzola works well)
1 c
half and half
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
white pepper
1/4 c
chives (chopped)
1 c
mushrooms, sliced

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter, whisk in flour. Whisk until flour is absorbed.

Stir in 1 cup of the stock. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

Add remaining stock and milk. Simmer 10 minutes.

Stir in cheese, half and half and season to taste. Add chives and mushrooms.
