JoJo's Sausage Artichoke soup

The family was out to eat, we had this kind of soup - I knew I could make a recipe.

Stove Top


1 lb
any kind of sausage (your preferrence) cooked
1 pkg
frozen or canned artichokes
1/2 c
chopped carrots
1/2 c
chopped celery
1 1/2 c
chopped onion
1 can(s)
cannelini beans (or your favorite)
1 qt
chicken broth (or your favorite)
1 can(s)
28 oz. crushed red tomatoes
1/4 c
fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp
crushed red pepper or to taste
28 oz
water (use crushed tomato container)

Directions Step-By-Step

In large stockpot brown sausage.
Remove sausage add, carrots, celery and onions cook till soft.
Add remaining ingredients bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
OR you can add all ingredients into a crock pot for a later meal.
Cook on Low 2 hours. (cooked ingredients)
Cook on High 2 hours, (uncooked veggies)
