brake up hambuger meat into a soup pan,brown until cooked.drain any oil from pan.
corsly chop onion
crush tomatos by hand
add to cooked meat with juice from the tomato, stir and add cup of water,garlic, and pepper,simmer for 10 minutes
add the 1/2 cup of salsa hot or mild,to soup, simmer a additional 10 minutes. then gradualy add cheese and simmer until cheese has melted,add more water if its to thick; add salt to taste
you might not need to add salt if salsa and tomatos have enought salt on its owen.garnish soup with shredded lettuce,i like to serve a crusty piece of french bread with it to dip
