Want a comforting, family pleasing soup to combat the cloudy-weather blues? This is one of my most requested dishes! My husband loves it so much he learned to make it so he could cook it on nights that I work.

Ingredients For cheesy potato soup

  • 6
    medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried minced onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    sale
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 12 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    knorr chicken bouillon cube, crumbled
  • 1 c
    chopped ham

How To Make cheesy potato soup

    Place potatoes in a dutch oven or large sauce pan and cover with water by 1 inch.

    Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender.

    Mash potatoes in liquid with hand mixer or immersion blender. DO NOT DRAIN!

    Add remaining ingredients; cook and stir until cheese is melted. Serve!
