diane's creamy chicken soup with homemade noodles

was a cold rainy day when i came up with this... was tryin to make like beef and noodles but with chicken.... did not put enough flour in to thicken so it ended up a soup...one of my best pic was taken day after soup was made reheating it in microwave.. was even better then

Ingredients For diane's creamy chicken soup with homemade noodles

    whole chicken,cut up
  • 2/3 c
    seasoned flour[with salt pepper onion powder garlic powder,poultry seasoning
  • oil for browning/frying
  • 2 qt
    water
  • 2 md
    carrots,grated
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried celery leaves
  • 1/4 lg
    red bell pepper,chopped fine
  • 1/2
    recipe of homemade noodles
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried chives

How To Make diane's creamy chicken soup with homemade noodles

    in heavy pot put oil and begin heatin.... put seasoned flour in lg zip bag..... once oil is hot add chicken pieces one at a time to zip bad coatin well then into hot oil fry 4-5 pieces at a time til well browned on all sides then remove to plate do rest of chicken once all chicken browned...

    pour most of grease from pan then add bout 1 cup water stir well gettin bits off bottom of pan add chicken pieces and veggies...cover cook on low for 90 min remove meat from broth keep broth on low on stove once chicken cool enough debone... add 1/2 the chicken back in with broth use ofther 1/2 for another meal

    now simmer broth for bout 90 more min til reduced by 1/3-1/2

    add noodles cook 12-15 min[depends how thin noodles were rolled]...taste a noodle to tell if tender

    once noodles tender take any flour that was used to coat chicken and mix well with milk stir into pot cook and stir til it boils boil a few min add chives stir well laddle into bowls and enjoy
