sausage corn chowder

This recipe was given to me by a coworker and it is yummy. I use both mild and hot sausage to give it a little heat but you could use all mild or all hot depending on your taste. Warning it makes a BIG batch!!

Ingredients For sausage corn chowder

  • 1 lb
    mild sausage
  • 1 lb
    hot sausage
  • 2 pkg
    cream cheese (8 oz packs)
  • 2 pkg
    frozen corn (16 oz packages)
  • 4 can
    cream of potato soup (4 reg size cans or 2 large cans)
  • 1 1/2 qt
    milk ( use more or less depending on how thick you like your chowder)

How To Make sausage corn chowder

    Fry sausage and drain grease. Add cream cheese to sausage and heat so it is soft. .

    Cook corn in microwave for a while to get it thawed.

    Put all ingredients in a slow cooker and simmer for a couple of hours... or longer if you want. (You can do it on top of the stove BUT you have to stay on top of it so it doesn't scorch!!) Add salt and pepper to taste.
