i had gotten this from a co-worker years ago. it is great! leftovers get thick just add a little water to make it soupy again.

Ingredients

2 c
diced potatoes
1/4 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
chopped carrots
1/2 c
chopped broccoli
1/4 c
butter or 1/2 stick
2 c
milk
1/2 c
flour
2 c
cheddar cheese(shredded)
1 c
cubed ham
2 c
water, cold

Directions

boil vegetables in water till tender, DO NOT DRAIN!.In separate pan melt butter,add flour,then milk.Cook until thick. add cheese, cook until melted,do not boil, add ham then add to cooked vegetables. stir well then serve. I like garlic toast with mine.
