Ingredients

lb. crab meat
1/4
cup finely chopped onion
1/2
tsp. finely grated lemon peel, optional

tbsp. butter
1-1/2
tbsp. flour

cups half and half
1/4
cup dry sherry

tsp. worcestershire sauce
pinch of nutmeg
salt and white pepper to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

Saute onion and the lemon zest (if you elect to use lemon zest) in butter. Add flour and heat until bubbly. Add half and half slowly and stir with a whisk.

Add crab meat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Serve immediately.
