I have never made this but have eaten it many times.My uncle used to make this all the time. It's a nice way to have venison. The red wine at the end makes it special =)

Ingredients

1/4 c
vegtable oil
2 lb
venison cubed small or coarsely ground
4 clove
garlic chopped

onions chopped
1
green bell pepper chopped
2 c
water

tomatoes chopped
2 Tbsp
molasses
2
jalapeno peppers chopped and deseeded
2 Tbsp
chili powder
1 Tbsp
basil
1/2 Tbsp
ground cumin
1 Tbsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
black pepper
1 tsp
red pepper(optional depending on heat wanted)
1 c
red wine

Directions Step-By-Step

Heat oil in large stock pot. Add venison and cook until light brown on all sides. Add garlic, onions and bell pepper. Saute until onions and bell pepper are tender.

Stir in water, tomatoes, molasses, jalapeno, chili powder, basil, cumin , kosher salt, peppers. simmer over low heat for 2 1/2 hours.

Add the wine and mix well. Cook for 30 min longer
