Ingredients

1/2 c
onion, chopped
1/4 c
green bell pepper chopped
1 lb
lean ground beef
1 can(s)
tomato sauce, 1 pound
1 can(s)
stewed tomatoes, 1 pound
1 can(s)
kidney beans, drained 1 pound
1 1/2 tsp
salt
2 1/2 tsp
chili powder
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/2 tsp
dry mustard

Step-By-Step

1Place plastic colander in a 2-quart microwave-safe casserole.
2Combine onion, green pepper and crumbled ground beef in colander.
3Microwave (high or 100% power) for 6 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking.
4Remove colander and pour off drippings.
5Turn meat mixture into casserole.
6Add tomato sauce, tomatos, beans, salt, chili powder, black pepper and mustard and cover.
7Microwave (high or 100% power) for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking.
8Rest, covered, for 5 minutes.
