The Best Hamburger Soup

I found this soup in an old softcover Pillsbury cookbook almost 30 years ago...the book is long gone but this recipe is awesome!!

I always get surprised looks after the first taste .....not what you'd expect and I always get asked for the recipe.

10 (1 cup serving)


1 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
chopped celery
2 can(s)
10 1/4 0z each tomato soup
1 can(s)
10 1/4 oz mushroom soup
2 c
1 tsp
instant beef bouillon powder
2 c
grated carrots
1/2 tsp
or up to 1 tsp marjoram leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp
hot pepper sauce

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown beef in a dutch oven with the onions and celery...drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer over low heat until carrots are tender and soup is heated thoroughly...approx 15 mins.
I also love that has no added salt and is only 190 calories per cup!!
This is one of my favorite soups.
So good with my Easy Ranch Bread!
