Ingredients For philly cheese steak soup

1/2 stickbutter
-
1/2 lbrib eye steak, boneless, trimmed of fat, cut into bite sized pieces

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper
-
2 - 10 oz canfrench onion soup

8 ozbutton mushrooms, fresh, sliced

1 cprovolone cheese, shredded, divided
-
3 Tbspgreen bell pepper, chopped

2 slicefrench bread
How To Make philly cheese steak soup

1In a 2 qt saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add beef pieces; sprinkle with salt & pepper. Cook & stir until browned. Add soups; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium low; simmer uncovered 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in mushrooms; cook until hot.

2Set oven to broil.

3Ladle soup into 2 bowls. Add 1/4 C cheese onto each bowl. Top each with bread slice. Add bell pepper & remaining cheese into each bowl.

4Place bowls on cookie sheet; broil 4" - 6" from heat source for 2 minutes or until cheese is bubbly & bread is toasted.
