My Grandpas mushroom soup. My grandma told me my grandpa learned from his mom and then he taught my grandma. I feel so privileged to have been raised in a family that liked cooking and baking so much :)

Peel and wash all your vegetables. I cut my potatoes in to bite size pieces. You may cut up the the veggies too. Put the dried mushrooms in a bowl and cover them with boiling water, let them soak for at least half hour. In a large pot filled with water put all your vegetables and beef and salt pepper to taste. Cook until water boils and turn heat to low.

In a frying pan fry the fresh mushrooms until golden brown and throw them into the soup. Fry the onions, throw them into the soup. Put the soaked dry mushrooms into the soup with the water they were soaking in. Let it cook for an hour on low heat. At the very end I take out the meat with the bone (it usually falls off the bone any way) cut the meat in to small pieces and throw it back in to the soup.
