Ingredients

10 c
water
2 c
dried yellow peas
1
small onion, chopped
1
carrot, chopped
1
stalk celery, chopped
1
potato, peeled and cut into bite sized chunks
1/2 c
ham or cooked bacon, diced

DOUGHBOYS

1 1/2 c
flour
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
3/4 c
water or milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Wash peas in colander and check for stones.

Boil water and add peas. Boil 1.5 to 2 hours until soft. Add meat and vegetables and cook until soft, 30 minutes.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly add water until soft dough forms. Drop dough in by spoonfuls to simmering soup. Cover, cook 15 minutes.
