My kids and I love pickled sausages.

Ingredients

4 c
water
2 Tbsp
salt
3 c
vinegar
10
drops of red food coloring(optional)
1 pkg
little smokies or any type of beef sausage, not eckrich or any like that.

Step-By-Step

1Combine the water,salt, vinegar and food coloring in a large pot and heat to a boil.
2you can cut the sausage to desired size, leave little smokies whole.
3place sausage in a glass jar that has a lid. pour the mixture in to jar. Place lid on the jar and tighten and let it stand for 2 days then serve.
