Prepare a regular sized muffin pan with paper liners. In small saucepan, combine frosting and salt. Stir over medium heat until bubbles form. In large bowl of popcorn, pour frosting mixture over and with spoon stir thoroughly until all kernels are covered with frosting mixture. Also add the extra ingredients you've chosen at this time and stir through. Spoon into liners and allow to dry at room temp for 1 hour.
