5-6 lemons
1 c water
1 c white vinegar
1 tsp kosher salt

Lisa's Notes:

Me and my friend have been having same stomach problems lately. Possible stomach flu. So no cure just feel better stuff. Well what works well for both of us is pickles and lemons!! So I was thinking pickled lemons!! Did some searching And heres the recipe Im doing.

 

Directions

Wash and slice lemons from tip to tip, youll get 6 slices per lemon.

Pack in 3 sterilized jars.

Mix the water, salt and vinegar and bring to boil for 6min. Let cool slightly, almost room temp.

Fill each jar with vinegar solution. Tight lid and store on cuboard for a month before useing.

Helps our bad tummys.
Has 12.6 grams of fiber!!

Great served with fish or chicken.

Interesting!! I love lemons; they are good for you. Keep us posted on your results, please and Thank You, Lisa! You might want to try some yogurt that has cultured bacteria in it- starts with an a- and is a mile long, lol!!

We do.. We always put salt on lemons and eat, helps with stomach problems. And pickles help too, so why not combine. Then I also found some fish recipes to use them in.

And yes Becky I was just reading about cultured yogurt and starting buying. Thank You Ladies! Still suffering from stomach problems ughhhhhh so aggrevatin!! Another thing is I suffer from GERD and a tablespoon of vinegar always helped relieve the heartburn. So I will be keeping these lemons stocked!

Lisa, in direction # 1 you say to "let" but didn't finish the sentence. Do we let them cool or what? I have a bag of lemons and just might try this.

Sorry Bea Il fix that. Yes directions say to let cool to room temp. , Doesnt take to long. Dont know y because when quick pickeling cucumbers I kno you pour hot liquid right over. But yes does say to cool. I made batch and getting more lemons, Im finding alot of recipes I can use in. Enjoy and let me kno how you use them! Thx again! ;)
