My grandkids Morgan and Makenna ask me often to make these for them.

pinch tips: How to Core and Slice a Pineapple



3/4 c
butter, softened
3/4 c
brown sugar
3 1/2 c
oats, quick cooking
1/4 c
+ 2 t. flour
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 c
chopped walnuts
1/2 c
shredded coconut

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Add oats, flour, nuts, and coconut one ingredient at a time and mix well. Press into well greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake 30 minutes til browned at 325 degrees. COOL. Cut into 2" X 4" bars. Serve as a quick breakfast, snack or dessert.
If doubling the recipe (they go fast) use a jelly roll pan and bake at some temperature for about the same amount of time.
