Butterscotch Bird Nests

Amanda Brecht

My aunt introduced me to these fun little snacks. We made them for Easter and it was a perfect treat, not to mention a hit with everyone! The recipe can be tweaked to however you like your nests, and it is all based on personal preference.

pinch tips: How to Season and Care for a Cast Iron Skillet

10 Min

1 (12 oz.) pkg
butterscotch chips
1 large can(s)
chow mein noodles
1 pkg
candy eggs (i used the "robin's eggs")

Directions Step-By-Step

Put the butterscotch chips in a glass bowl and melt in the microwave. The amount is completely optional, I used the entire bag.
Once the chips are melted, stir in the chow mein noodles.
On a piece of parchment paper, take a small scoop of the chow mein noodle mixture and form a small nest with your hands. Place the eggs on top.
Do not refrigerate, just leave uncovered on parchment paper to dry.
