Ingredients For spicy basil tomato hummus

    bay english muffins,split,lightly toasted
  • 1
    1/2 can chickpeas,drained and rinsed (save remaining chick peas for a evening salad)
  • 1
    pinch garlic powder
  • 1/2
    small ripe tomato ,with seeds out
  • 6
    fresh basil leaves,may leave out
  • 3
    tablespoons water
  • 3
    tablespoons olive
  • 1
    pinch salt and black pepper
  • 4
    dashes hot sauce i use crystal hot sauce for this

How To Make spicy basil tomato hummus

    Dice fresh tomato
  • 2
    Tear basil leaves
  • 3
    Except Olive oil** put all in food processor and pulse
  • 4
    Add olive oil little at a time on full speed till smooth.

    Put in a small bowl take a teaspoon and spread on 1/2 each,toasted English muffin.

    Chill the rest of chickpea mixture away and save for the evening snack for you & husband.
