strips of thick cut bacon
1Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 400°F.
2Pierce the top of the bacon strip with a skewer, wind the bacon around the skewer, and then pierce the bottom of the strip with the other end of the skewer to hold it in place.
3Put completed skewers on parchment-lined baking sheet, place in oven, and bake for 10 minutes. Carefully flip using tongs. Let cook until the bacon reaches desired crispiness 5 to 10 minutes longer.
4Remove baking sheet from oven, and transfer the skewers on to paper towels once they are cool enough to touch. Blot excess oil with fresh paper towels, then carefully remove skewers.
