Found this in the Missouri.life book.Thought I would give it a try. I have made it 4 times now. Noe I will be makeing them for all the youngsters and us for Christmas..

It is so simple...

Ingredients

1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp
pecans,ground.
1 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 Tbsp
bourbon may use rum
1
egg white,room temp
pinch of cream of tartar
pinch of salt
2 c
pecans, halved

Step-By-Step

1Pre-heat oven to 350...Place brown suger,ground pecans and cornstarch in a bowl and mix well. Add bourbon or rum and blend till smooth.
2Beat egg white with cream of tartar and salt.untill it holds stiff peaks...
stirin 1/3 of egg whites into sugar mixture and blend well...Add remaining egg whites (It will become more liquid)...Add pecan halves,stirring gently to coat nuts...
3Butter a baking sheet and arrange nuts (Top up.)on buttered baking sheet.(Keep them separated batter will puff up.)..
Bake for 12 minutes. Then let cool befor serving
