I have seen several recipes for these on JAP. However this is one that I have had for years and is slightly different. It uses salt to make it both sweet and savory. I make these during the holidays and put them in small containers to keep on hand for unexpected guests. Everyone visiting gets a little gift to munch on as they leave. I really think some people "visit" just to get their pecans... Enjoy.
1Set the oven to 250 F.
2Beat the egg white and water till fluffy.
3Add pecan halves and gently coat them well.
4Mix sugar, cinnamon and salt together.
5Fold the sugar mixture into the egg and pecans.
6Spread onto a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour. Let cool completely and place in airtight containers.
